Also, the 8,500
acre Kickapoo Reserve Wildlife Area (15 min.), the
Mississippi River (25 min.), and numerous trout steams are
all within close proximity. There are several golf courses
within 15 minutes of us. Wildcat Mountain Park (20 min.),
canoeing in Ontario (20 min.), and several of Wisconsin's
unique Amish communities surround us.
You will find a wide choice of festivals, antique stores,
and flea markets. The Apple Festival in Gays Mills and
Dairy Days in Soldiers Grove are within 20 minutes. Viola's
annual Horse and Colt show is a popular local event.
Horseback riding stables, biking and hiking opportunities
are available. Additionally, nearby Viola has a laundromat,
restaurants and a Saturday morning farmers' market.
Wintertime provides all new thrills for the outdoor
enthusiast. Snowmobiling, cross-county skiing, winter
camping and ice skating, to name a few popular activities
for the young and the young-at-heart.
